We are looking for a dynamic self-motivated Manager or Director of Product Marketing with experience in launching and positioning new products into the market. The ideal candidate will have worked at small emerging companies where he/she was responsible for the definition of focused industry or application-specific campaigns and the implementation of these campaigns.
Working closely with executives and sales, the Manager or Director of Product Marketing will relentlessly work to drive down customer acquisition costs and shorten sales cycles. A positive and dynamic, can-do attitude is key as is the ability to communicate effectively internally and outside the company.
This position is based in our office in San Mateo, California.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* 5+ years experience in product marketing, must include Business Intelligence product experience
* In-depth knowledge of marketing tools and techniques
* Hands-on experience with online marketing technologies (SEO, ad words, email, etc.)
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Strong writing skills mandatory
* Strong conceptual and strategic thinker
Desired Skills:
* Knowledge of and experience with BI products. Prior work experience at BI leaders will garner special attention
* Impact and influence - works effectively with and through others over whom has no formal authority
* Achievement motivation - sets high standards and objectives beyond those established by others
* Listening, understanding, responding - an effective and articulate communicator
* Decision-making - makes good decisions based on sound understanding and evaluation of relevant information; gathers information and involves others as appropriate

Responsibilities include:
* Develop strategy and tactics for marketing Quantivo’s on-demand analytics service; Drive the implementation
* Define and implement an on-going customer and prospect communications strategy
* Determine ROI on marketing communications programs; adjust spending appropriately
* Define market research studies to gain knowledge about user attitudes and behavior
* Develop support materials that optimally positions the strengths of our service
* Work and refine product positioning, value proposition, key messages, presentations, white papers, telephone scripts, etc.
* Responsible for trade shows, direct marketing, seminars, etc
