Part Time/Contract, ending two years from date of hire with possibility of extension.

The UC Santa Cruz Office of Campus Counsel seeks applications for the part-time position of Associate Campus Counsel. The Office of Campus Counsel supports the mission and purpose of the University of California, Santa Cruz campus and the UC system-wide Office of General Counsel.

This position is 60% time and reports to and assists the Chief Campus Counsel in providing advice and counsel on complex legal matters involving the University, focusing on business transactions, contracting advice, purchase orders, policy and legal compliance, real estate leases and licenses, and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have: excellent writing, analytical, communication, negotiation, and client counseling skills; the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, complex environment; and inter-personal skills to work effectively with a diverse group of faculty and administrators.
